Whether you're the bakery owner, clothing store, photographer, or event planner, we all go somewhere to learn how to improve our business. Nowadays, there are so many resources that we can resort to finding new information to help us be better business owners. So, where do you go to see your data and information? I look to other business owners for advice; where better to go than those who have successfully launched their products and business?

Such as the reason that you are here is to try and learn from me. I go to other blogs and websites to learn from others to improve my business. Cynthia Johnson is one of my favorite people to listen to and learn from. Cynthia is a speaker, entrepreneur, author, business influencer, columnist, and co-founder of Bell+Ivy. She is an excellent resource for advice when it comes to small businesses. If you have not heard of her, or even if you have, I would recommend looking her up.

Getting caught up in every part of your business is easy. To not ask for help or to not have support. This consists of apps, books, websites/blogs, online courses, etc. There are so many resources out there directed toward owning a small business. No, you do not need a degree to be a business owner, but a slight expansion of knowledge is not bad. These are only a few of the many people to look into Michael E. Gerbert, Stephen R. Covey, and Jefferey Gitomer. These authors have written and created great resources for us entrepreneurs to use. There are many others, and I would encourage you to research those within your business industry.

Do you think that the entrepreneurs before you didn't do their research? Well, if you think this way I would advice you to look deeper. Theres the entrepreneurs who went to college and got a degree in business then there's those who had an idea and decided to make it reality. These are the people who did it on their own. They looked into the people who were successful and took their advice.

As small business owners it is important to understand that you can not do everything all by yourself. Whether its consulting in a friend or a professional, it is important for us to look to others to help better our businesses. If you're wanting to become a successful event planner then the best place for you to look is with other event planners. There are groups of event planners that you can join that is very insightful for you to succeed. If you have a unique idea and want to move forward with making it grow then those who have been in the same shoes as you before are the people to look into.

Put the time and effort into making your business the best it can be! There is endless knowledge out in the world you just need to make the first step to expose yourself to it. Take that first step and make your dreams a reality! I encourage you to find someone that you look up to and can learn from. Take something from their experience and learn/grow from it.
